Joshua 9:24 ~ Giosué 9:24

A nd they answer Joshua and say, `Because it was certainly declared to thy servants, that Jehovah thy God commanded Moses His servant to give to you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you; and we fear greatly for ourselves because of you, and we do this thing;

Allora essi risposero a Giosuè e dissero: «Era stato chiaramente riferito ai tuoi servi che il tuo DIO, l'Eterno, aveva comandato al suo servo Mosè di darvi tutto il paese e di sterminare davanti a voi tutti gli abitanti del paese. Perciò noi abbiamo grandemente temuto per le nostre vite a causa vostra, e abbiamo fatto questo.
