A nd Joshua taketh the whole of the land, according to all that Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses, and Joshua giveth it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes; and the land hath rest from war.

Astfel, Iosua a cucerit întreaga ţară, potrivit cu tot ce-i spusese Domnul lui Moise. Şi Iosua i-a dat-o ca moştenire lui Israel, împărţind-o după numărul seminţiilor. Apoi ţara s-a odihnit de război.
