A nd Jehovah giveth Lachish into the hand of Israel, and it captureth it on the second day, and smiteth it by the mouth of the sword, and every person who in it, according to all that it did to Libnah.

Il Signore diede Lachis nelle mani d’Israele, che la prese il secondo giorno, e la mise a fil di spada, con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano, esattamente come aveva fatto a Libna. Allora Oram, re di Ghezer, salì in soccorso di Lachis.
