I f any one doth think to be religious among you, not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, of this one vain the religion;

Se qualcuno fra voi pensa di essere religioso, ma non tiene a freno la sua lingua, certamente egli inganna il suo cuore, la religione di quel tale è vana.
