Deuteronomy 20:18 ~ Deuteronomy 20:18

s o that they teach you not to do according to all their abominations which they have done to their gods, and ye have sinned against Jehovah your God.

So that they may not teach you all the abominable practices they have carried on for their gods, and so cause you to sin against the Lord your God.
