b ecause, having known God they did not glorify as God, nor gave thanks, but were made vain in their reasonings, and their unintelligent heart was darkened,

perché, pur avendo conosciuto Dio, non lo hanno glorificato come Dio, né lo hanno ringraziato; ma si sono dati a vani ragionamenti e il loro cuore privo d’intelligenza si è ottenebrato.
