h aving given also a direction to the centurion to keep Paul, to let also have liberty, and to forbid none of his own friends to minister or to come near to him.

Then he ordered the centurion to keep in custody, but to treat him with indulgence and not to hinder his friends from ministering to his needs and serving him.
