y et Jesus did not say to him, that he doth not die, but, `If him I will to remain till I come, what -- to thee?'

Per questo motivo si sparse tra i fratelli la voce che quel discepolo non sarebbe morto; Gesù però non gli aveva detto che non sarebbe morto, ma: «Se voglio che rimanga finché io venga, che t’importa?»
