A nd he said unto all, `If any one doth will to come after me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me;

ثُمَّ قالَ لَهُمْ جَمِيعاً: «إذا أرادَ أحَدٌ أنْ يَأتِيَ مَعِي، فَلا بُدَّ أنْ يُنكِرَ نَفسَهُ، وَأنْ يَرفَعَ الصَّلِيبَ المُعطَى لَهُ كُلَّ يَومٍ وَيَتبَعَنِي.
