A nd the chief priests and the elders did persuade the multitudes that they might ask for themselves Barabbas, and might destroy Jesus;

وَلَكِنَّ كِبارَ الكَهَنَةِ وَالشُّيُوخَ أقنَعُوا جُمُوعَ النّاسِ بِأنْ يَطلُبُوا إطلاقَ سَراحِ باراباسَ، وَقَتلَ يَسُوعَ.
