A nd it springeth up, and becometh a spreading vine, humble of stature, To turn its thin shoots toward itself, And its roots are under it, And it becometh a vine, and maketh boughs, And sendeth forth beauteous branches.

Y la semilla brotó y llegó a ser una vid de poca altura pero con mucho follaje, que produjo sarmientos y vástagos. Por arriba, sus ramas se extendían hacia el águila; por abajo, sus raíces se hundían en la tierra.
