Lamentations 2:8 ~ Plângeri 2:8

D evised hath Jehovah to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion, He hath stretched out a line, He hath not turned His hand from destroying, And He causeth bulwark and wall to mourn, Together -- they have been weak.

Şi -a pus de gînd Domnul să dărîme zidurile fiicei Sionului; a întins sfoara de măsurat, şi nu Şi -a tras mîna pînă nu le -a nimicit. A cufundat în jale întăritura şi zidurile, cari nu mai sînt, toate, decît nişte dărîmături triste.
