C ome down from honour, sit in thirst, O inhabitant, daughter of Dibon, For a spoiler of Moab hath come up to thee, He hath destroyed thy fenced places.

O figlia che abiti in Dibon, scendi dalla tua gloria e siedi sul suolo riarso, perché il devastatore di Moab è salito contro di te, ha distrutto le tue fortezze.
