A nd Ishmael taketh captive all the remnant of the people who in Mizpah, the daughters of the king, and all the people who are left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath committed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, and Ishmael son of Nethaniah taketh them captive, and goeth to pass over unto the sons of Ammon.

Ismael tomou como prisioneiros todo o restante do povo que estava em Mispá, inclusive as filhas do rei, sobre os quais Nebuzaradã, o comandante da guarda imperial, havia nomeado Gedalias, filho de Aicam, governador. Ismael, filho de Netanias, levou-os como prisioneiros e partiu para o território de Amom.
