Jeremiah 38:11 ~ Ieremia 38:11

A nd Ebed-Melech taketh the men with him, and entereth the house of the king, unto the place of the treasury, and taketh thence worn-out clouts, and worn-out rags, and sendeth them unto Jeremiah unto the pit by cords.

Ebed-Melek i-a luat cu el pe oamenii aceia, s-au dus într-o odaie aflată sub vistieria palatului şi au luat de acolo nişte zdrenţe vechi şi nişte haine purtate, pe care le-au coborât apoi cu nişte funii în puţul în care era Ieremia.
