A nd he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes Him we are healed and made whole.
