L o, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is lopping a branch with violence, And the high of stature are cut down, And the lofty are become low,

Iată, Stăpânul, Domnul Oştirilor, taie crăcile cu o mare putere. Cei mai înalţi copaci vor fi tăiaţi, cei mândri vor fi doborâţi.
