t hat the king hath given to the Jews who in every city and city, to be assembled, and to stand for their life, to cut off, to slay, and to destroy the whole force of the people and province who are distressing them, infants and women, and their spoil to seize.

En ellas el rey daba facultad a los judíos que estaban en todas las ciudades para que se reunieran a defender sus vidas, prontos a destruir, matar y aniquilar a toda fuerza armada de pueblo o provincia que viniera contra ellos, sus niños y mujeres, y a apoderarse de sus bienes;
