O n that night hath the sleep of the king fled away, and he saith to bring in the book of memorials of the Chronicles, and they are read before the king,

În acea noapte împăratul nu a putut să doarmă. A cerut să-i fie adusă „Cartea cronicilor“, adică analele, şi i s-a citit împăratului din ea.
