A nd Uzziah the king is a leper unto the day of his death, and inhabiteth a separate house -- a leper, for he hath been cut off from the house of Jehovah, and Jotham his son over the house of the king, judging the people of the land.

Regele Uzia a rămas lepros până în ziua morţii lui. Pentru că era lepros, el a fost îndepărtat de la Casa Domnului şi a locuit într-o casă izolată. Cel care supraveghea palatul regelui şi judeca poporul ţării era fiul său Iotam.
