J oab son of Zeruiah hath begun to number -- and hath not finished -- and there is for this wrath against Israel, and the number hath not gone up in the account of the Chronicles of king David.

Joab, figlio di Tseruiah, aveva cominciato il censimento, ma non lo portò a termine; per esso l'ira dell'Eterno si rovesciò su Israele e il numero dei censiti non fu riportato nelle Cronache del re Davide.
