A nd of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, and hitherto their greater part are keeping the charge of the house of Saul.

There were 3, 000 sons of Benjamin, Saul’s brothers. For until now most of them had stayed faithful to the house of Saul.
