A nd he saith, `Thou dost not smite; those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow art thou smiting? set bread and water before them, and they eat, and drink, and go unto their lord.'

Eliseo rispose: «Non li colpire! Colpisci tu forse quelli che fai prigionieri con la tua spada e con il tuo arco? Metti loro davanti del pane e dell’acqua, affinché mangino e bevano, e se ne tornino dal loro signore».
