A nd Ahaz sendeth messengers unto Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur, saying, `Thy servant and thy son I; come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who are rising up against me.'

Então Acaz enviou mensageiros a Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, dizendo: Eu sou teu servo e teu filho; sobe, e livra-me das mãos do rei da Síria, e das mãos do rei de Israel, os quais se levantaram contra mim.
