A nd king Rehoboam sendeth Adoram who over the tribute, and all Israel cast at him stones, and he dieth; and king Rehoboam hath strengthened himself to go up into a chariot to flee to Jerusalem;

Y cuando Roboán envió a Adorán a cobrar los tributos para el rey, el pueblo de Israel lo apedreó hasta matarlo. Entonces el rey Roboán subió en su carro y salió huyendo hacia Jerusalén.
