A nd Abner turneth back to Hebron, and Joab turneth him aside unto the midst of the gate to speak with him quietly, and smiteth him there in the fifth -- and he dieth -- for the blood of Asahel his brother.

Cuando Abner regresó a Hebrón, Joab lo llevó aparte en medio de la puerta para hablarle en privado, y allí, por causa de la sangre de Asael su hermano, lo hirió en el vientre y murió.
