a nd the inhabitant of the land, the Canaanite, see the mourning in the threshing-floor of Atad, and say, `A grievous mourning this to the Egyptians;' therefore hath called its name `The mourning of the Egyptians,' which beyond the Jordan.

А ханаанците, жителите на онази земя, като видяха жалеенето при Атадовия харман, казаха: Египтяните имат голяма жалейка; затова мястото, което е оттатък Йордан, бе наречено Авел-мисраим.
