D an is a serpent by the way, An adder by the path, Which is biting the horse's heels, And its rider falleth backward.

«كَثُعْبانٍ عَلَى جانِبِ الطَّرِيقِ يَكُونُ دانُ. كَأفْعَى سامَّةٍ قُرْبَ المَمَرِّ. تَهْجُمُ فَتَلْدَغُ كَعْبَيِّ الحِصانِ، فَيَسْقُطُ راكِبُهُ إلَى الوَراءِ.
