A nd Joseph seeth his brethren, and discerneth them, and maketh himself strange unto them, and speaketh with them sharp things, and saith unto them, `From whence have ye come?' and they say, `From the land of Canaan -- to buy food.'

De îndată ce şi-a văzut fraţii, Iosif i-a recunoscut, dar s-a prefăcut că nu-i cunoaşte şi le-a vorbit cu asprime. – De unde veniţi? i-a întrebat el. – Venim din Canaan, ca să cumpărăm hrană, au răspuns ei.
