` These men are peaceable with us; then let them dwell in the land, and trade it; and the land, lo, wide before them; their daughters let us take to ourselves for wives, and our daughters give to them.

«Questi uomini intendono stare in pace con noi; rimangano pure nel paese e vi commercino, perché il paese è grande abbastanza per loro. Noi prenderemo le loro figlie per mogli e daremo le nostre figlie a loro.
