T herefore Saul removed him from his presence, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.

فَأبعَدَهُ شاوُلُ عَنهُ وَجَعَلَهُ قائِداً عَلَى ألفِ جُندِيٍّ. فَصارَ داوُدُ أكثَرَ شَعبِيَّةً مِنْ قَبلُ، بِسَبَبِ دُخُولِهِ المَعارِكَ وَانِتِصارِهِ بِها.
