Y ahweh said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided a king for myself among his sons.”

Un día, el Señor le dijo a Samuel: «¿Hasta cuándo vas a estar triste por causa de Saúl? ¿No recuerdas que yo lo deseché como rey de Israel? Mejor llena de aceite tu cuerno, y ve a Belén; allí, vas a visitar a Yesé, porque uno de sus hijos será el próximo rey de Israel.»
