T he men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armor bearer, and said, “Come up to us, and we will show you something!” Jonathan said to his armor bearer, “Come up after me; for Yahweh has delivered them into the hand of Israel.”

E os homens da guarnição disseram a Jônatas e ao seu escudeiro: Subi a nós, e vos ensinaremos uma coisa. Disse, pois, Jônatas ao seu escudeiro: Sobe atrás de mim, porque o Senhor os entregou na mão de Israel.
