T he children of Israel did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight: and Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

وَفَعَلَ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ الشَّرَّ أمامَ اللهِ. فَأسقَطَهُمُ اللهُ بِيَدِ المِدْيانِيِّينَ مُدَّةَ سَبْعِ سَنَواتٍ.
