I srael sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said to him, ‘Please let us pass through your land to my place.’

Israel a trimes soli lui Sihon, împăratul Amoriţilor, împăratul Hesbonului. Şi Israel i -a zis:, Lasă-mă să trec prin ţara ta pînă la locul spre care mergem.`
