T he border of the children of Dan went out beyond them; for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their forefather.

Ţinutul fiilor lui Dan se întindea şi în afară de acestea. Fiii lui Dan s'au suit şi s'au luptat împotriva lui Leşem; au pus mîna pe el şi l-au trecut prin ascuţişul săbiei; au pus stăpînire pe el, s'au aşezat în el şi l-au numit Dan, după numele tatălui lor Dan.
