A ll these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides a great many towns without walls.

وَكانَتْ تِلكَ المُدُنُ مُحَصَّنَةً، ذاتَ أسْوارٍ عالِيَةٍ وَبَوّاباتٍ مَتِينَةٍ وَأقْفالٍ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ. كَما أخَذنا بَلداتٍ كَثِيرَةٍ بِلا أسوارٍ.
