N ow the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants ”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring ”, which is Christ.

Ora le promesse furono fatte ad Abrahamo e alla sua discendenza. La Scrittura non dice: «E alle discendenze» come se si trattasse di molte, ma come di una sola: «E alla tua discendenza», cioè Cristo.
