W hen this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language.

فَلَمّا جاءَ هَذا الصَّوتُ، تَجَمهَرَ جَمعٌ كَبِيرٌ مِنهُمْ. وَكانُوا مُرتَبِكِينَ لِأنَّ كُلَّ واحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ كانَ يَسْمَعُهُمْ يَتَكَلَّمُونَ بِلُغَتِهِ الخاصَّةِ.
