a nd he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.

Il sera le juge d'un grand nombre de peuples, L'arbitre de nations puissantes, lointaines. De leurs glaives ils forgeront des hoyaux, Et de leurs lances des serpes; Une nation ne tirera plus l'épée contre une autre, Et l'on n'apprendra plus la guerre.
