E phraim feeds on wind, and chases the east wind. He continually multiplies lies and desolation. They make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Ephraim weidet sich am Winde und läuft dem Ostwind nach und macht täglich der Abgötterei und des Schadens mehr; sie machen mit Assur einen Bund und bringen Balsam nach Ägypten.
