T hen these men assembled together to the king, and said to the king, Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians, that no decree nor statute which the king establishes may be changed.

Mais ces hommes insistèrent auprès du roi, et lui dirent: Sache, ô roi, que la loi des Mèdes et des Perses exige que toute défense ou tout décret confirmé par le roi soit irrévocable.
