B ut if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

»En cambio, si al venir la espada el atalaya no toca la trompeta para prevenir a la gente, cuando la espada llegue y hiera de muerte a alguien, éste morirá por causa de su pecado, pero yo haré responsable de su muerte al atalaya.
