T herefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her plunder, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.

Perciò così parla il Signore, Dio: “Ecco, io do a Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, il paese d’Egitto; egli ne porterà via le ricchezze, lo spoglierà delle sue spoglie e si impadronirà di quanto c’è da saccheggiare; questo sarà il salario per il suo esercito.
