T hen Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people who were in Mizpah, even the king’s daughters, and all the people who remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the children of Ammon.

Después Ismael tomó cautivo a todo el resto del pueblo que estaba en Mizpa, a las hijas del rey y a todo el pueblo que había quedado en Mizpa, a los cuales Nabuzaradán, capitán de la guardia, había puesto bajo el mando de Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam. Los tomó, pues, cautivos Ismael, hijo de Netanías, y fue a pasarse a los hijos de Amón.
