O n that night, the king couldn’t sleep. He commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought, and they were read to the king.

وَلَمْ يَستَطِعْ المَلِكُ أنْ يَنامَ فِي تِلكَ اللَّيلَةِ، فَطَلَبَ مِنْ خُدّامِهِ أنْ يُحضِرُوا لَهُ السِّجِلَّ الرَّسمِيَّ لِتارِيخِ المملَكَةِ. وَعِندَما قُرِئَ السِّجِلُّ أمامَ المَلِكِ،
