D idn’t Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, and he was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless foreign women caused even him to sin.

E dissi: «Non peccò forse Salomone, re d'Israele, per queste cose? Eppure fra tante nazioni, non ci fu re simile a lui; era amato dal suo DIO, e DIO l'aveva stabilito re su tutto Israele; ma le donne straniere fecero peccare anche lui.
