t hen they came near to Zerubbabel, and to the heads of fathers’ households, and said to them, “Let us build with you; for we seek your God, as you do; and we sacrifice to him since the days of Esar Haddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here.”

chegaram-se a Zorobabel e aos chefes das casas paternas, e disseram-lhes: Deixai-nos edificar convosco; pois, como vós, buscamos o vosso Deus; como também nós lhe temos sacrificado desde os dias de Esar-Hadom, rei da Assíria, que nos fez subir para aqui.
