H e also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

S-a răzvrătit chiar împotriva împăratului Nebucadneţar care-l pusese să jure pe Dumnezeu. S-a încăpăţânat şi şi-a împietrit inima ca să nu se întoarcă la Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel.
