A s he talked with him, the king said to him, “Have we made you one of the king’s counselors? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” Then the prophet stopped, and said, “I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.”

Mientras él hablaba, Amasías le interrumpió diciendo: ¿Te han puesto a ti por consejero del rey? Déjate de eso. ¿Por qué quieres que te maten? Y cuando terminó de hablar, el profeta concluyó: Yo sé que Dios ha decretado destruirte, porque has hecho esto, y no obedeciste mi consejo.
